Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

Tutoring middle school children primarily from underrepresented groups in STEM subjects, conducting engineering projects with middle school students, serving as a general mentor to middle school children

Essential Duties

-tutor STEM subjects
-develop appropriate engineering hands on projects
-oversee project progress and guide middle school student STEM development while introducing engineering concepts

Minimum Qualifications and Training

2.5 GPA or higher
B or higher in ENGR1170 or ENGR2030
B or higher in MATH1161

Preferred Qualifications and Training

B or higher in PHYS2211
Experience working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds
