Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

This position will require excellent people skills, as well as the ability to learn how to use a variety of equipment. Students from the COE will be using the new Teacher Production Lab and will need someone to help them become familiar with the services and equipment available. The person in this position should also have good organizational skills and be a College of Education or Pre-Education Student.

Essential Duties

Provides excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Maintains a current inventory of supplies for the lab, and follow appropriate procedures for requesting new supplies when inventory is low.

Makes sure that all equipment is kept in working order, and if needed, submits appropriate requests for repair.

Assists lab users with using the equipment.

Keeps lab equipment and supplies organized at all times.

Communicates student needs and suggestions in a timely manner.

Show initiative in suggesting new ideas for the lab.

Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor/department.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Must be a College of Education student or a Pre-Education student.

Effective communication skills verbally, over the phone, and in writing.

Customer service experience.

Ability to work with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Proficient with Microsoft Applications software, including spreadsheets, database and word processing.
