Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

The BIOL Supplemental Instruction (SI) Student Leaders are an additional instructional resource for BIOL 1107 students and thereby supports the faculty teaching the supported course, BIOL 1107. The SI student leader assists the instructors by attending lecture, preparing for and leading multiple problem-solving sections, and answering student questions. This is one position for 10 hrs/week at the Liberty Center Campus

Essential Duties

1. Attends BIOL 1107 lecture
2. Provides assistance to instructors.
3. Provides problem-solving sessions for BIOL 1107 students.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

1. GPA of 3.0
2. Completion of BIOL 1107
3. Must be enrolled at Armstrong State University

Preferred Qualifications and Training

1. effective verbal and written communication
2. ability to work effectively with diverse populations
3. ability to work effectively with little oversight or direction
