Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

Work involves assisting admissions processors and processing documents needed for the admissions application.

Position will primarily focus on maintaining electronic data of all documents and files within the office.

Essential Duties

Receives and routes mail which includes opening mail, date stamping, sorting and delivering mail to the correct area within Admissions.

Scans and indexes documents using Banner Document Management (BDM); includes downloading and indexing electronic transcripts.

Create and maintain records for prospective students who apply using the online Armstrong application.

Assist the Admission processors with entering paper applications or any supplemental documentation provided by prospective students.

Perform audits of student Required High School Curriculum units prior to admission decisions.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

High school diploma or GED.

A minimum of three (3) years experience in office administration or office management.

Customer service experience.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; well-developed clerical skills.

Ability to lift minimum of 20 lbs.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Computerized basic skills tests – typing (40wpm required) or data entry, MS Word, spelling, and grammar – administered following initial review of all applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Considerable knowledge of management and/or business and education administration principles, concepts and techniques.

Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of office management and the operation of standard office equipment.

Some knowledge of research methods and techniques and methods of report preparation.
