Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

Compiling research on US media and politics as part of a broad analysis of ideological fallacies and systems of oppression.

Essential Duties

Student researchers will compile briefs and annotated bibliographies on a diverse range of cultural and social topics.

Students may also review popular media including films and television using an analytic rubric.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Ability to draft professional documents correctly and on time

Classroom experience with academic research and critical analysis (such as ENGL2100)

Enrolled at Armstrong State University

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Critical interest in culture, media, politics, or policy

Humanities or Social Sciences major

60 credit hours completed toward degree

Experience as a research assistant
