Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

This is a student employment position providing in-depth assistance and support to a literary and cultural studies research project.

Essential Duties

1. Assists in compiling and extending my bibliography of relevant literary, critical, and theoretical writings.
2. Assists in bibliographic and library research.
3. Assists in reviewing and evaluating primary and secondary sources.
4. Assists in defining the scope of my project.
5. Prepares presentation materials for conferences.
6. Writes reports and/or articles.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Must be enrolled at Armstrong for the duration of employment and maintain a “B” average.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

1. Knowledge of literary research methods.
2. Effective communication both verbal and written.
3. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
4. Ability to work effectively with little oversight or direction.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
