Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

This is a student employment position providing in-depth assistance and support in the field of digital history. This includes website maintenance, preparation of digital materials for publication, corresponding with outside institutions, site testing, and other activities related to enhancing the website.

Essential Duties

1. Researches ongoing funding opportunities for digital projects.
2. Researches collaborative opportunities with other universities and colleges.
3. Helps maintain website and academic best practices.
4. Updates the website as needed.
5. Prepares digital materials for publication including photos, videos, and digital archival materials.
6. Participates in April symposium on the experience gained working on this digital project.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Must be enrolled at Armstrong for the duration of employment and maintain a “B” average.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

1. Ability to organize and prepare materials and/or reports.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
3. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
4. Ability to pay attention to detail.
5. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
6. Ability to work effectively with little oversight or direction.
7.Willing to learn new software applications such as PhotoShop and Agisoft 3D photogrametry.
