Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

This student will serve as an assistant to the Assistant Director of International Education to help provide support to international students and the programming associated.
In addition, this position will tutor international students as needed in English and other areas of acclimation.
This student will need to have skills in the area of programming, communication, organization, community relations, and basic word.

Essential Duties

Tutor international students in English and other needed areas.
Assist the Assistant Director of International Education with developing programming for international students, especially those in their first year.
Sponsor and lead various trips throughout Savannah to acclimate international students to the local area.
Work with the Assistant Director to find host families or faculty/staff members to adopt an international student during the year.
Assist in organizing and implementing the international week activities and other programs throughout the year, including semester mentorships.
Assist in communicating with international alumni and maintaining international alumni engagement.
Act as a mentor to- and cultural resource for international students.
Update Website as needed.
