Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

This is a student employment position providing in-depth assistance and support to the department or program.

Essential Duties

1. Provides academic tutoring to Hispanic/Latino students.
2. Provides referrals to other university services.
3. Prepares a database on students assisted and tracks academic progress of students

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Must be enrolled at Armstrong for the duration of employment and maintain a “B” average.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

1. Ability to organize and prepare materials and/or reports.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
3. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
4. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
5. Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.
6. Tutoring experience preferred.
