Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

Math and Science tutors provide tutoring assistance to Armstrong students in the sciences. Tutoring is provided on an as-needed basis during operational hours of the STEM Success Center in SC132.

Essential Duties

Assist students with concepts, homework, and test preparation.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Must have a detailed knowledge of the subject matter being tutored, a “B” average or better in the field of study, and be recommended by the appropriate department.

Must be enrolled at Armstrong State University.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills; and ability to work with diverse populations.
