Position Summary Information

Nature of Work

Tasks include providing customer support in person as well as creating and maintaining documentation. Support for Port, SHIP, Google email and apps, eClassroom, and wireless access will be provided at the TechHub. Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor/division.

Essential Duties

Provide first tier level support for IT related requests and incidents at the TechHub. Work and communicate with other IT Services groups while addressing IT related requests and incidents. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to clerical tasks that can be completed at the TechHub for other areas in the division.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

A professional, courteous and polite demeanor is required.
Must be enrolled at Armstrong State University at time of employment and each semester after.
Knowledge of personal computers (Windows 7 and 10 Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite.)
Familiarity with Macintosh computers or ability to learn Mac OS functionality.
Working Knowledge of MS Office Suite, email, basic navigation of software applications including internet browsers, etc.
Ability to lift computers and peripherals as required.
Ability to multitask; detail oriented with strong organizational skills and professional demeanor.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work up to 19 hours per week between 7:30am and 11:00pm during the week; possible weekend hours during Saturday and Sunday

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Ability to work independently after acquiring specific skills and assignments.
Ability to use campus supported applications including Port, SHIP, Google email, apps, etc.
Very knowledgeable with PC computers and Windows 7, Windows 10, and mobile devices
Very knowledgeable with Mac OS
